Hair straightening

What do ya'll put on your hair before using a straightening iron? I have curly hair and and would like it straight once in a while but not sure what products to use.

Well, I blow dry my hair first. I use Matrix's Sleek Look Extreme Styling Creme. http://www.matrix.com/products/sleek_look/styling_cremes.aspx. Sometimes I will use the flat-iron afterwards to tame some persistent curls, I use Matrix's Sleek Look Iron Smoother. http://www.matrix.com/products/sleek_look/iron_smoother.aspx

You could also try a straightening shampoo & conditioner those days you want to iron it out. The PH balance is different in these products and works very well.

I use the herbal essances (sp) one...but hell my hair is already straight half the time...so I just use a couple of squirts of that and straighten away!
