Hairless rats

Anybody know where I can find one? My son and I are allergic to rhodent dander and I'm thinking hairless may be the way to go. Anyone kow if I am right about that in the first place?

Nevermind. I think it's the skin and not the hair. I would still like to know where I can find one though just so maybe we can see if we are allergic.

Thanks! I read that females are produce less allergens than males and that hairless actually do produce less allergy problems due to no hair for them to stick to.

Dander is actually dried saliva that flakes off the skin and floats through the air. That is what you're allergic to. Where did you read females give off less allergens? I thought all rodents, cats,dogs, guinea pigs and the like licked themselves clean. I don't think that that is a true statement. I just don't want you to get attached to the critter and realize you're allergic anyway. Just trying to help out.
