Happy 4th and Hello

I was on this site looking for fireworks info and stumbled across the forums. I've done my due diligence and lurked for about 15 minutes. So now I'm ready, right?

I'm a 31yo engineer that moved from Florida 3 months ago for a new job. I have not met many people outside of coworkers and neighbors and thought this might be a good place to meet people, at least in the virtual sense.

:howdy: Welcome!

Are you a boy or a girl?

You and Railroad might get along well, with you being an engineer. :yay:

Thanks for the welcome. I'm trying to enjoy the time off. Today has been automotive maintence as well as tinkering in my shop then off to the fairgrounds later.

Not the type of engineer that drives trains, but the type that makes sure airplanes don't fall out of the skies :ohwell:

And I'm a dude :patriot:

Just jokes. This is a breeding ground for displaced engineers. But most of the ones I know are from Penn State. :nerd:

Looks like there are few here and there, atleast where I work anyway.

K_Jo, when you use the term 'breeding ground', do you mean these people are actually getting together and making more? :smoochy:

Self-replicating geeks??

Hi Nanny Pam and thanks again for all of the other welcomes.

Just got back from the fireworks at the fairgrounds and I have to say they were top notch. I even ran into one of my coworkers and his family so I was not alone.

I think I'll look around the rest of the place for a bit. It's nice out and I'm surfing from my riverside deck with a bond fire going. If I'm lucky the big brown beaver may visit me!

I erred on the side of beating traffic and pulled away at the precise moment I thought they would be over. My bud from work noted it was hard to distinguish the finale from the rest last year. Who knows, maybe that it the style of the company you guys hire here.

Some nice work, Maybe SM isn't going to turn out to be so bad afterall...
