Happy Saturday, All! Hope you're having a great day.

Sadly for me and Mrs. RR, her sleep study didn't go well last night (they were looking for signs of sleep apnea and she of course had a normal night instead), and they're keeping her throughout the day today for further observation. I think I'll do a major housecleaning evolution today so that when she does come home, she'll be pleasantly surprised.

Hey Railroad :howdy: The sleep study of mention was/is the pre-operative workup? It sounds frustrating... Keep your heads up...

Morning forumheads!

Yeah, they need to characterize her sleep apnea so that, when they administer general anesthesia they'll know the risks and tailor the drugs accordingly. The screeingin interview at Johns Hopkins yesterday morning went well, though. That pump is pretty big and heavy, but she wants it and the potential benefits appear to outweigh the potential discomfort. She'll begin the trial period up there on August 24th and will likely be there 3 - 5 days, and then at some point after that she'll spend another week up there having the pump installed and getting post-op physical therapy.

NEXT pre-op thing will be an overnight wearing of a halter monitor to see about her tachycardia (racing heart) that occasionally happens.
