Happy Sunday Morning!

Good morning! What's everyone up to on this beautiful fall day?

After I finish my coffee, I plan to make Shepherd's pie and let it meld in the fridge until dinner. The husband had to go to work at 5AM and will be glad to come home to a warm home and a great dinner. He made a batch of collards from the Charlotte hall flea market and black eyed peas yesterday that will get reheated. I also picked up fresh mushrooms, potatoes and sweet potatoes.

I will go to the Chesapeake marketplace and work on my booth and help my friend and mentor with hers. Coming into the holiday season, I really hope people shop local and support small businesses and the many thrift stores out there. You'd be surprised with the treasures you might find! Most of the local thrift stores support charities and causes and many have a lot of brand new items that were donated. The SPOT in St Leonard has brand new children's toys and clothing.

Fall is my favorite time of the year. My recent trip to NY was a beautiful drive with the leaves changing. I love the cool (and not so humid) temperatures and recently put flannel sheets on the bed.

Life is good here in Lusby. Hope everyone has a great day!

I've put close to 100 miles on my Jetta since the heater core transplant and it shows no signs of leakage. I'm going to use this beautiful fall day to clean up the plastic console and supporting pieces, and hopefully reinstall them properly. The leaves have come on with a vengeance, so I'll drag out the leaf blowers and get them running. I'd prefer to be perching, but I'm sure they've moved out to deeper water. Maybe next year...

Edit: Looks like a good day for a rack of ribs on the smoker.

There's a food truck festival at Pier Park, so we're going to that. It's a gorgeous day today, a little chilly but should warm up nicely this afternoon.

I've been meaning to get back to the Chesapeake Marketplace. Which booth is yours?

Got woke up at 7:20 AM, had to break up a little tiff between Buff and Phoenix.
He was up poaching her food, again, and she was objecting. He actually bopped her this time.
Closed the door to the bedroom to give a little decompress time.

Otherwise, slept in until 10, had a mug of tea while catching up on emails.

Time for brunch now.

Evening is taken up by being at Lowe's.

My niece and I planned a surprise birthday party for my sister yesterday and we killed it. My cousin, The Silver Fox of Norfolk PD Lip Sync contest, and her daughter came up for the soiree along with a lot of other friends and some live music.

I am now couch surfing the rest of the day.

 At least the hard part is done...Replaced a heater core on a C4 vette 10 or so years ago..Found out why it's considered Part#000001.
Just now getting to the console. I decided to make sure my spare blower was running properly before passing it on to my son. It started and ran so good I decided to give it a real test run. Three hours later, I'm coming into the house, but the yard looks great! The newer PRofC Craftsman blowers would've scored the piston after about 1/2 hour.
