Ken Bailey, Hi Tek Redneck did a fast, efficient and very affordable job installing our floors. You can reach him at 240-298-7949. He is licensed, not a fly by night. Great guy!

Saw his ad on here. Name made me laugh. Either of you two know apprx. what they would charge for labor per Sq. ft. ? It is the nail down hardwood flooring.

It's been a while since Ken did our floors..he just did some work for my brother but I'm not sure. He's very reasonable..private family not a large company. He's done all the gyms in Calvert schools for years too. He really is very good. Call him and talk to him.

Not sure for your type of floor. We had bamboo put down. He charges much less than the local flooring places, that is for sure.

I just talked to one of my buddies that had his floors done by him, his wife is a CC teacher. I also have family that works in the CC school system, think I'll give him a call in the coming days. Thanks.

How do you like your Bamboo Floors?

The stuff is gorgeous and it appears to go down rather easy, no glue, just nails. We are in the midst of a major remodeling project and I have 4-days to decided, which is when my husband expects me to reply with either Pergo or Bamboo. He will be picking up the supplies and putting the floors in himself.

The Bamboo is very smooth textured and I am concerned the kids will slip and fall on it. The Pergo has a bit more texture to it and seems slip resistance, plus it is about 1/2 the cost. :ohwell: But even on that note, I'm still undecided. That Bamboo sure is pretty!

These floors will be going down in 3 bedrooms.

Shhhh, my husband doesn't know this yet but once the floors are replaced with something other than carpet, The boys and I are getting a puppy.

Pergo can get slippery too (in socks). J likes to start at the end of the hallway, run and slide into the living room "Risky Business" style. When the dog's excited and galloping through the house, he ends up drifting just to make turns.
