My friends and I ALWAYS look out for motorcyclists, it's those crotch-rocket riders, zoomin' in and out of traffic (much less >100mph on the beltway) that end up as organ donors.

Harley Riders respect the road, and we respect them.

I respect anyone on a motorcycle, but I would agree that it is the crotch rocket guys that think they are inferior to everything that ruin the reputation for motorcycle drivers.
I also have to put myself in there place as well, not wanting to be stuck between vehicles, or around alot of vehicles, because it greatly reduces there "ways out".

While what you say is true for you... Many folks in the cages do not look out for bikers regardless of what they ride. At least once a week an idiot does exactly what they are not supposed to do.. Pull right out in front of me or take my lane while I am still using it...

Maybe if we loaded bombs on our bikes that explode only when a car come in contact with us... Yeah they would pay attention then

Hey now! I always pay attention, never talk on the phone or put on makeup etc, when I'm driving. Eyes right on the road.

Fact is: You bikers are hard to see and you move quickly. What was not on the left or right can be there quickly if I need to change lanes and then it's too late.

It's your choice to not have that cage around you and extra precautions need to be made (by you)

:bs: We pay taxes & insurance to ride legally on the roads. Cars & trucks can change lanes just as quickly. Fact is if you don't know how to change lanes and drive, stay the hell home!!!

they just don't respect peace and tranquility..


Oh, and this is the biggest load of bullcrap I've read on here for awhile..

I have met respectable men and woman on Harleys.. I've also met them on "rice rockets".. L, and Y to be two for sure.. I've met many respectable people on all kinds of bikes.. even one on a butt ugly Suzuki!!


But I've also met my share of total dirtbags, and dipsh!ts on ALL makes and kinds of bikes. Including.. dare I say it.. HARLEYs!!

HARLEYIST!!!


I'm calling Al Sharpton.. you've hurt my feeling..

Hey Now. I'm not generalizing ALL crotch-rockets. Just an observation from riding the beltway - the "crotch-rockets" (jap-bikes) on the beltway are concerned about their destination and how fast they can get there - the ones I've seen have no concern about their safety, or anyone else's safety.

I understand that you know people that ride these bikes. But I can bet that your friends represent the minority when it comes to bike safety and common sense on these bikes.

"OH NO" I said MINORITY. Where be Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson when U need 'em.??

I can't wait to see one of those 100+ mph crotch rockets get hit on the beltway. I've already seen a few close calls. It's only a matter of time. :yay:
