I saw a piece on the Discovery channel over the weekend about teh amazing 16" HARP gun. I never saw it fired but did see it and the spare barrels, up close and personal, back when I was involved in ordnance testing out on the Yuma Proving Grounds.

Dr. Gerald Bull, who was involved with HARP, set up Space Research Corporation after the project was defunded.
Took a field trip there when I was a Cadet at Norwich University in the late 70's.
At that time he was developing field pieces that ended up with the South African Army.
