I keep wondering when the crowds will FINALLY abate.I couldn't believe how many people were there at 830/845.
Dollar General will be next.I keep wondering when the crowds will FINALLY abate.
My kids were wondering that, and I told them, that's Southern Maryland.
Put up a store and people will swarm to it - for a while.
I reminded them that *TRACTOR SUPPLY* was packed the first few days.
TRACTOR SUPPLY.
I don't get it, but I know I can count on it.

I knowBurning daylight getting up that late.
Hell after the Burger King on GMR was closed for a while when it reopened there was a traffic jam to get into it.I keep wondering when the crowds will FINALLY abate.

Face it. There are a LOT of people around here that have more money than they know what to do with. That is why there is always the crowd when new places open up.I keep wondering when the crowds will FINALLY abate.

They were 1.99 for a 5 pack an hour ago.Face it. There are a LOT of people around here that have more money than they know what to do with. That is why there is always the crowd when new places open up.
As for pricing at HT, definitely more than any other place around here. Finished shopping at Wallyworld on Friday and noticed that I forgot to get some bagels and other bread. The price at Wallyworld was $1.80 for a pack of 6. Same item at HT was $4.69!
That is not small change.
I almost felt forced to get a VIC card.I've noticed the items on sale are a really good price, but non sale items are more than anywhere else.
Haven't tried it. They do have $9.99 Prime Rib dinners. D said they cut them right there on the counter area, so it's not the shipped in a bag and boiled stuff. He said it looked really good.Anybody have an input on the meats? Ground beef? Is it ground in-store or received frozen and thawed like most other stores?
Not going near the place for a few weeks.
Same here.
Not talking to you. You lie. Big fat liar.Haven't tried it. They do have $9.99 Prime Rib dinners. D said they cut them right there on the counter area, so it's not the shipped in a bag and boiled stuff. He said it looked really good.

Having worked in a meat department of a grocery story I can tell you most do not get frozen ground beef. They get it in great big plastic tubes and it is roughly ground. The premade hamburgers are just slices of these tubes made on the bandsaw and for the ground beef the tubes are ran through the grinder again. And here is something you probably don't want to know, the lowest grade usually has other scraps thrown into it that would otherwise be thrown away.Anybody have an input on the meats? Ground beef? Your info may be outdated. You can usually tell the difference between in-store ground and frozen by the package. Those very deep black ground beef containers where the plastic doesn't contact the meat has been pre-packaged and filled with carbon dioxide. Fresh ground is usually in shallow trays and shrink wrapped, but not always. Freezing changes the texture of the meat and seems 'watery'. Fresh ground is almost dry, but you really can't tell that until you get it home.Having worked in a meat department of a grocery story I can tell you most do not get frozen ground beef. Places that have the presealed airtight packages may freeze the packages, but not always as these packages usually last longer, not sure if the oxygen in the package is replaced with another gas or not to make them last longer.
Maybe, it was the 90's when I last worked in a meat shop, but I do know that some of the watery meat has had "solution" added to it, to make a given piece of meat weigh more.Your info may be outdated. I'd love to do that, put away a half steer, but it would all be old and stale before I got to use it all.So happy we killed beef this weekend..no mystery meat...2..3 weeks aging...cut to order...
