Watch out on the road.

Deer are on the move.. Motorcycle deer strike on Beachville Rd last week (Rd leading to the back gate of Webster)

BUT one thing nobody thinks of, or at least I haven't seen mentioned.

WATCH for harvested fields.. if you are driving by one you may want to slow a bit. Farmers aren't exactly neat, nor do they clean up after themselves.

LOT of corn cobs, husks and corn in the road down this way, and if you're in a corner and come across one of these messes, it may as well be gravel or ice.

Dress well, and be careful.. like your life depends on it.

I know your talking about cycling but it's also very true for us car drivers. Being on the outskirts of Waldorf and it still being a semi-farming type area I watch the sides of the road as much as I do the one in front of me. Fortunately traffic is light so if I see eyes in the dark I can slow down a bunch or even stop to see what that critter and those behind it you can't see are going to do. Never ran into a deer but did have one run into the side of my car and if they'd do that to a car they also can do it to a cycle probably with a much different outcome. Be safe people.

A person riding a bicycle getting hit by a deer would be funny to see.

Closest I ever came to hitting a deer or the other way around was on a trail by Big Bend campground riding my mountain bike. She walked out about 20 feet in front of me. I had time to stop. Deer was like, what the heck are you doing here?
