I sure would like to. Winegardner Auto in PF has an '08; can't really tell what kind of shape it's really in by the pic, but it's "mean lookin'".

$28,995.00 (E-Price) 3657 miles.

It is sweet... I am seriously considering the G8 as my next vehicle. That price is too high tho, IMO.

Well, the '09's are out now and they're advertised on the website at around $34K. I've heard that buying last year's model is cheaper and on paper it is cheaper but as you said, 28,9** is still kinda steep. But hey, around the end of the month maybe the dealer will come off that figure.

Dreams are free, right?

I'm waiting until spring to make a move on a new vehicle so I'll give you this little tidbit... call Bell Motor in Leonardtown. They had a fully loaded on on the showroom floor a week ago and they are going out of business at the end of this month... make them an offer...

I'm not trying to be sarcastice, but last week? Pessimism being what it is, I'm almost certain it's not still there. But, I suppose a ride to L'town can't hurt.

I think what they don't sell, they just ship to other dealers, so; and I'm not speaking FOR anyone; I don't think it really matters to them wether or not they sell everything on their lot by the end of the month.
You're right. No it couldn't hurt to make them an offer, even if it is just to hear someone say, "Well your offer's a good one but if you want THIS car, it's gonna cost you [this much]." Which is what I expect to hear.
So the leaving and coming back another day tactic probably won't work.

I was just approved for financing to get an '09 G-8 (Premium and Sport Packages): $29,758.00 "out the door"; unless the dealer I'm talking to is "yankin' me." Then I talked to the loan officer at my credit union and was informed they finance 100% of the new car price including tax/title/tags. I wound up with a $472.52/month payment for 72 months @ an interest rate I can't remember right now. That's about the only thing I can't remember, is the interest rate; but at least I'm heading in the right direction before the economy takes a dump again.

I keep hearing, "Now's the time." "Now's the time to apply for great financing;" all that kinda noise.

Well, now that I've done it. I may need to eat PB&J's for a little while, but I've got a new ride.

I'm picking it up this weekend (WOO!-HOO!) :yahoo:if I can find somebody to drive my old car back to the house. I'm thinking about giving it to my Dad so he can have something to run around town with. My car is slightly better on gas than his P/U, so I figured, 'why not?' Besides, he just dumped a wad of cash into it to get the A/C/heating system working again.

Now, I'll have to check what kind of mileage my 'new toy' gets.

Awesome! I'm sooo jealous! :yahoo: My co-worker is happy with the mileage his gets... it's all in how you drive it!

"Giv'er five and dump the clutch" would apply if it was a true stick. Seriously, most of my driving is to and from work in "rush hour" traffic; such as it is around here.

Well, the new car thing fell through, dammit. A word of advice; if you don't have a friend who will be able to drive your old car home for you cuz you didn't trade it in, re-think your situation. So, I didn't get my brand new '09 G8 like I wanted to but I DID help solidify my credit a bit by repaying the loan I got, the day after I got it.

As I sit here though, I will proclaim this: next year around this time; if not sooner; I WILL have a new car. Around OCT-NOV of '09, the '10's will be coming out. (Sounds odd to say that)
So, I can get an '09, which will actually be 'last year's model.' I'm trying to "sock away" some more money into savings every payday so I'll have something to work with next year. I thought about adding something like $20 to my house payment to help pay it off quicker, but that would take too long.
It's a quicker money builder to stash money in savings.

I'm not going to be talked out of buying a new car next year.
