Hastert dumps hybrid for SUV

Hastert and other members of Congress drove off in the Hydrogen-Fueled cars only to switch to their official cars to drive the few blocks back to the U.S. Capitol.

My younger sister bought a Japanese-made hybrid two months ago and hates it. She's getting worse milage than she was getting with her V6 compact SUV. When she told me that I said "let me guess... you drive mostly highway miles?" and she said yes. I told her that hybrids only get better gas milage in the city, and on the highway they get worse milage because that little engine has to run full-tilt all the time to keep her going 70 MPH on I-75. What's worse is that when it gets hot she's going to have the AC cranking so she'll have the engine running most of the time even in the city.
