I dunna see the problem. Everyone should know that most of Southern Maryland, and other areas, were Confederate sympathizers. It's part of our heritage. Who do people think worked those fields of tobacco on those Plantations in the Port Tobacco area were? Swedish immigrants?

My dad worked tobacco when he was a teen back in western Mass.
A lot of acreage is built over now, but there is still some shade tobacco grown.
Apparently, it is prized as cigar wrapper leaf.
