Haunted Houses

Where are they? I remember when I was younger I would go thru different neighborhoods and they would have haunted houses randomly strung thru them. Anyway.. I know of 6flags, kings dominion and Vampire Manor.... Any other goods ones?

My mother in laws one night when she tried to do this candle light dinner thing when the power was out.
catch her floating out the back room with the glow of candles flickering off her.

There is one in Bel Alton (Charles County) that the Bel Alton VFD puts on. I haven't been in years but it was good then.

Anybody remember Morbid Manor? My older sister would take me every year and every year I would get scared and wimp out.

Damn - I may have to go deeper into my memory bank. I will have to double check with my sister about the name. There was actually a web page dedicated to the guy that created the haunted house here in Charles County. I can't get on Chit Chat at home so I'll try to find out for tomorrow.

O.K. it was Blood Manor and run by a guy named Skip. I was trying to find the newspaper article about the guy to post. He had a very interseting background. Anyway, it was very scary and the actors were very intense.

I remember a friend of mine, Stuart, used to work there. He said Skip was with a college theatrical group and it was a bunch of college students who worked the haunted house. The article suggests Skip teamed up with his friend Itsi Atkins and the combination of two talents/masterminds created Blood Manor.

I also see that Itsi Atkins lives in New York and has a Blood Manor operating there.

I remember Vampire Manor. If you go to Kings Dominion on the weekends before Halloween, after dark they turn the entire park into an interactive show.
