Have you ever...

They're out to get us
I've never been pulled over after drinking, so I have no idea what the drill is. Maybe they'd smell it on me?
I haven't either been pulled over and asked to do a sobriety tests so I don't know either. I guess I'll ask...

So cops...what are the grounds for a sobriety test? Do you need probable cause?

So everyone else...if you've been pulled over and asked to do a sobriety test, was it out of the blue or did they have good reason to do it?

Thanks!

If you don't like hearing opinions that oppose yours, perhaps you should've thought about that before you created this forum.
More proof of your ignorance.

I actually enjoy opinions that differ from mine, and anyone who reads my posts knows that I like the debate. What I do not enjoy, however, is when some stupid ass (such as yourself) posts blatant bombs designed to piss people off. Or when they (you) post incorrect information, get corrected, then still insist that they are correct.

Your stupid little "Somd Righties" threads, for example. You are obviously trying to piss people off, and you succeed. So now those same people can't stand you and you have only yourself to blame. There have been several young people who have come on with their idealistic liberal viewpoints, and have been treated with respect. THEY, unlike you, are genuinely trying to learn or teach, not just be obnoxious.

Yeah, all those messages telling me to f myself were so respectful.

Keep telling yourself I'm the one who started problems around here. Your bloodthirsty circle will prove you wrong soon enough.

The fact remains that you, Andy, have intentionally made yourself a target of ridicule. You even had a second chance when your original name got banned for stupidity and you came back as Beaver. But you blew that chance by instigating all the negative attention you receive.

So now you're just going to have to suck it up. You wanted to be famous, and by god now you are.

Also, only a third of Maryland traffic fatalities involve a person who is over the legal limit. So twice as many sober people as drunk people kill someone with their car. Think about that.
I think if you research this further, where drinking was actually a causal factor you'd find that MOST of the time the driver is WAAAAY over the legal limit, shich would bring into question why is the legal limit what it is?

If fatal accidents occur at say .2 BAC why is the DUI limit .08?

They've gone from taking drunk drivers off the street, to taking anyone off the streets that have a drink with dinner, and we merrily go along and cheer!!

And there is STILL no ongoing, mandatory driver training in this nation.

We send people off to rehab for all sorts of things, yet we don't test skills and motor vehicle law knowledge when someone gets in an accident.

I've been pulled over for not dimming my headlights, and that resulted in "please blow in my hand" which resulted in "Please step out of the car!"

According to the cop, not dimming your headlights is a sign of impairment.. the smell of mint on my breath was a sign of drinking (huh?? basically NOT smelling alcohol on my breath was a sign that I had been drinking).. he assumed I was DUI and asked to get out of my car (and I say 'ASK' in the nicest term, because I know damn well if I refused they would have removed me).

This was when I didn't drink so I knew I had nothing to worry about.

On the other hand, my ex was stopped for impaired driving because she couldn't drive a stick. They ended up taking her back to the station before they decided she wasn't impaired, at which point she had to walk back to the car.
