A push gift? My husband came home from work and was telling me about a co-worker getting his wife a push gift. I looked oddly at him and asked "What the heck is that?". Well, its a gift you give your wife or gf for pushing a baby out. Are you serious!?!?! I siad "well, where the heck (didnt really use the word heck) are my push gifts?" I had two boys almost 9 years ago and never heard of such a thing. So, what is it you get a gift for pushing a baby out??? Isnt that nature and you are supose to do that. Now, on the mans side shouldnt they get a gift for dealing with all our BS suring the pregnancy? Didnt know if anyone else has heard of this and wonder what you all get for pushing. His co-workers wife got a LV purse!

That's a tough gift to explain. "I got this bracelet when my vagina was at it's busiest "

I didn't know it had a name, but I've always gotten a gift for the mommy. Mommy does all the work, and baby gets everything? Mommy should have some recognition, too.

Mommy chose to have the baby though. I think it's a sweet jeasture but any woman who expects it is an idiot.

I have never thought of the idea. I know when you have a baby the baby gets the attention and you dont, but you have to expect that when you have a baby and be thankful for it while it last! I never had baby showers or push gifts, but I sure did have two awesome boys! Hurt like hell pushing them out considering I had no drugs, but it is what it is.

Yeah, screw that baby, stealing the spotlight with it's cute little toes, and fingers and coos and cries!

Didn't know it was called a push gift but my husband got me a diamond bracelet when I had my first...doubt I'm going to get another one this time around but I was happy when I got it the first time. As for THEM getting a gift dealing w/ the BS...it's been too long since you've had one lady! Mommy's have a hell of a lot more to deal with (all leading up to the pain of childbirth) and Daddy's should be happy they got their end of the bargain.
