I was on the Big Island in 1983 when this current eruption from Kilauea started.
Maybe I forgot to turn a tap off.
Should I go back and check?

I checked the other day and it seems the eruption is about as over as it's going to get. The lava is cooling and hardening, still a little at fissure 8 which was the most active, but the best news is that seismic activity have fallen off to next to nothing since early August.

I still might get there one day!:yahoo:
