Looks like a LOT of MD inspection stations will be having a GREAT summer!

Read through the bill and can't find anything concerning MD inspection stations. Unless you meant this .....

Is that for safety/equipment inspections, or VEIP...emissions inspections? I know I paid around $70 for the last vehicle safety/equipment inspection I needed and that was a few years ago.
Anyone that put a vehicle on the road to bypass the safety/equipment inspection by going with the historic registration will be required to have that done if they have to "convert" to standard registration. Otherwise...there is no VEIP in St. Mary's.

Except there is no emissions inspection in St. MAry's. Never has been. We're "special" like that. ;-p

Thank the EPA rules for that. Emissions inspection requirements flow out of measured air quality. Some states have said screw that and just required them statewide. MD has made noises about that in the part but its never gone where.

As that page reads, I'm pretty sure that is for emissions testing, which is currently $14 if the station does the testing, $10 if done by the owner. So it's looking like emissions testing can increase up to a maximum of $30. Happy happy joy joy.
