Heard on the Street Today

TPD

the poor dad
I’m in a southern tourist Area for the weekend. Today while sitting on a bench waiting for my wife souvenir shopping, 2 older couples (60s) WITH masks on walk out of a shop. One of the women looks at her phone after walking out of store to read something then turns to the others and says “have you heard that Trump is now saying that everything taken from the raid is for his presidential library? And the worst part is people are buying that!”. Buying that! After walking out of the store WITH masks on and taking them off after exiting.

Who is buying what?!

I just finished reading that in a news feed. Trump is saying the documents he had were destined for a personal library. More than plausible.

This might be the perfect place to post "I heard it on the street" comment - thanks TPD

Anyway, I am sure by now everyone has heard of the water crisis in Jackson, MS - you know, where they elected the first socialist major.

Yesterday we heard the water plant was broken, irreparably. They said water was gone "indefinitely," and they'd need $1B to fix it. Today, the rumor is, the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers showed up, turned the system on, and it seems to be working fine.

So, did Jackson, MS try and pull a fast one for 1B dollars??? :eyebrow:

It is on, water pressure somewhat restored, but there is little confidence in the system right now. But one report said they could have potable water in days rather than weeks now.

How they sposed to have socialism if they have running potable water??? Next thing the Army will be finding food for them so they don't have to stand in line for rations.

BTW, this is their Mayor:

What a bunch of idiots.

I thought these things were planted by the FBI?? Now his <checks notes> eighth excuse is that they are for his library (liberry for you mouth-breathing Trump humpers).

Is there anything you people won’t believe?

I love how he keeps confessing though. Should make the trial fun - go long on Orville Redenbacher.

Regarding the Trump docs, I'll bet you money right here and now that what the feebs were looking for was incriminating info about Democrats (and almost certainly the Republicans as well) involved in drug running and child sex trafficking. It would be something they're afraid Trump will use against them; there's nothing else that would warrant such an over-the-top action.

Even if you ask progtards what the feebs might have been looking for, all they can mumble is, "Cmassiflid! Clasmified! :jameo: " If you press - "What specifically?" - they get agitated and start looking for something to throw through a store window.

Mark my words - they are trying to retrieve anything that incriminates the overlords in their illegal activity. What else would it be?

Note that we're hearing nary a word from Cocaine Mitch. Graham came out with a lame ass piddle, as did McCarthy - "You just wait, by golly! At some time in the future maybe we're gonna get really mad about this!". But by and large the Republican "leadership" are silent regarding an FBI operation to invade and ransack the home of a political opponent.

It's unlikely the truth will come out in our lifetime; it will be something our great-grandkids learn about in History class and go, "Holy chit!" like we did about the Harding presidency.

Up all night trying to find the answer to my question?

I haven't even a good GUESS what they were looking for - I just saw one list of items taken that included a book, magazine articles and clothing.

I'm really baffled how ANY of them are relevant to what the press is claiming.

I'm reminded of Tom Cruise's remarks in "A Few Good Men" - "Is the colonel's underwear a matter of national security?".

No, it was a fishing expedition.

^that, absolutely
Nothing else makes sense. From the search it appears that they were planning to grab virtually ANYTING that might pertain to anything.
And the leftie press is going wild with - stuff that ISN'T there. Amazing. They're losing their chit over a folder that says to return to staff - and it's EMPTY. WHAT DID HE DO WITH IT? I dunno - maybe - returned it? How can you go nuts over something you did NOT find?

The media is helping with the leaks like nuclear secrets, which isn't being mentioned anymore.

Read today they took his income tax papers and his medical records.
I didn't know the Archives had the right to those.
