Does this moron understand the implications of his actions. So, that said, Iran would be correct in the sense it is not them who made the threats, but the tapes weren't manipulated.

CAIRO, Egypt - A threatening radio message at the end of a video showing Iranian patrol boats swarming near U.S. warships in the Persian Gulf may have come from a prankster rather than from the Iranian vessels, the Navy Times newspaper has reported.

A video and audio of the Jan. 6 incident in the Strait of Hormuz featured a man in accented English saying "I am coming to you. ... You will explode after ... minutes."

Cmdr. Lydia Robertson, spokeswoman for the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, said the Navy was still trying to determine the source of the transmission but believed it was related to the Iranian actions.

It may have been a heckler with the orla message,but it wasnt a heckler who sent those boats out to screw around in International Waters. They keep baiting the Bull, they will get the Horn.

Totally agree. There will come a time, when hell or high water, ROE will go out the window when there is a credible threat to the crew. After the Cole incident, no skipper wants to be in that position.

The person who is the heckler is not unique. There are folks everywhere (at least in the Pacific where I traveled extensively) that do this all the time. Every port has at least one of these clowns. Even in a tiny place like Majuro or Ponape. It's unnerving to the newbies when they first intercept this crap. I finally had to put it in my operators handbooks with the freqs associated with these idiots. They have their purpose, just don't know what it is....


We know exactly from where they're transmitting. Maybe a well-placed missile........ Just to take out the antenna, of course.
