Nice pictures, love the floors Vria!!! I've always been a carpet person myself, but after living in a house that had wood floors, I'm a wood floor fan! Soo much easier to actually get cleaned!!!! WTG!!! When can I move in?

Where'd you get it from, Vrai? Day and I went looking at HW last weekend. We found a great deal on some cherry stuff (maybe the same as yours, can't remember) but we didn't purchase it. Too bad, too...it was super cheap.

BTW, it's very pretty, and it looks great! Love the walls, too.

...if you're truly interested in providing the latest and most thorough content, you could just take a picture of some floor laying BUTT CRACK.

The two buttcrack guys aren't here today - we have a different crew. And MAN are they flyin'! We've got two working on the living room and two working on the music room - they'll be done with both in about 3 hours or so, then they'll roust me so they can start on the upstairs.

This is nerve-wracking, seeing my house all torn up like this. I need a Valium.

Up here at a place called U.S. Carpet. It was like $8.99 sq ft installed, which is incredibly cheap compared to the other places we looked.

Very nice. What did they tell you to clean the floors with? I was told one part windex to three parts water. Works great, but I think I prefer the Bissell Wood floor cleaner that goes with the Bissell "flip it". I think it shines the floor up nicer, but then again, it could have just been the Flip it. I've never tried the Windex in the bissell. :shrug:

I've tried diluted Windex on the floors, but it left a haze I don't like. I use the Old English wood floor cleaner that came with my Floormate cleaner and love it.

I figured I'd get a Swiffer for regular dust/cat hair pickup, but I have no idea what to use for spots, shining, etc. I'll see what they recommend.

I used to do that but in high traffic areas with the swiffer, all I was doing was spreading the dirt around. I'd have to keep switching the removeable pad and then found clever ways to flip it over a few times Good luck with your floors! They look awesome!!!!
