I want to announce the first child in the family for Terbear and me. She's almost a week old now, born 11/13 at 8:27am. Mother and baby are doing well; a natural birth went as smooth as it possibly could and all parties are adjusting to life pretty quickly. The days are blurring together a little bit as getting up every 2 hours for nursing and diaper changes takes effect.

The learning curve has been fairly steep. I never knew a diaper change could make a 6 day old person so angry. :lmao: Wish us luck! Maybe we'll get some pictures up here soon...

Only if I'm missing something...the only two people that can claim her as a niece live in London and Phoenix...

Thanks for all the good wishes everybody! Oh, but please don't even mention teenage years, I don't want to think about that yet.

Welcome to the longest week of your life:lol:
:killingme :lmao: Ain't that the truth. Try going in and being induced all day to end up coming home with no baby because you wouldn't dilate. Ug, no fun.

good luck WC. all I can say is don't let all the horror stories get you down. I started to let it get to me near the end and now I"d like to go back and hit all the people that kept telling me I couldn't possibly have a drug free delivery. in fact, i'm fairly certain I mentioned kicking a co-worker in the privates for telling me I'd be begging for the epidural by the 3rd contraction.

I agree. I had no pain meds for my first (not by choice) and some drugs for my son but had a c-section with my last one. I do however, JMO, recommend at least the drugs. Plus, they are kinda fun! :killingme
