HELP! I'm getting water inside my house!

During tonights storm my wife and I were standing by our front door and we noticed alot of water coming in around the molding. Noticing that the water appeared to be coming from inside the wall I ran upstairs to inspect our Master Bedroom closet, which is directly above the front door. Sure enough the carpet was soaked and the wall was damp. I then went up into the attic and at the base of the roof I could clearly see water entering the inside of the house in the vicinity of the water downstairs. Enough water entered the house that it found its way down to my recently finished basement. My house is ony 4 years old so I'm very un happy with the whole situation! I need a roofer ASAP before we get more rain. Recommendations would be very much appreciated...

I had Dysons Roofing redo my whole roof about 12 years ago. I would call them back. Never had a leak. Bob Green's Company has done siding and guttering work for me but I am unsure if they do roofing. They did a great job on mine.

Roofing by George in Mechanicsville. I can't say enough good stuff about their quality of work, price and speed.

Yep. They just did my neighbor's house. Great job done in one day and no mess left behind. I don't know how much it cost him, but it looks great.

Your gutters might be clogged and causing the water to back up over the edge and into your roof.
:yeahthat: That Happened to us before we had a downpour, the gutters were clogged and our basement flooded.I would check them before you pay money to get a roof fixed.

If your house is only 4 years old, isn't it still covered by the builders's warranty?

That happened to my neigbor. The roofer the builder used did not put the linnning under the shingles properly. I would have the roof inspected and then call the builder. Technically, the builder fixes anything within a year but if you can prove that something was not put/made correctly in the first place you might get the builder to do something.

Our builder gave us a 2 year craftmanship and 10 year structural warranty when we bought the house 3 years ago. I believed most builder go with this warranty and if the builder have a good reputation they want to protect, they'll probably at least help fix your roof.

Thanks for the replies. We've contacted the builder and he's supposed to be sending his roofing guy out to take a look. With more rain on the way we need to expedite getting it fixed. The gutters could be the problem since we haven't had any prior issues with water getting into the house.
