Well guys, its been nice chatting with you but I need to go to bed. I am off tomorrow to Central Virginia to look at houses. Home to hunting dogs and horses. Nothing like mountain breezes and the smell of horse chit..........

NOT Politically Correct!!
Lived all over the country and 12 years in Japan (thanks to 24 years in the Navy), I was born and raised in NYC and everytime I visit the city, I look forward to coming back to Southern MD. Nice Home, roads, fishing, hunting, beaching, crabbing, racing (at MIR), boating, diving, 10 minute drive to work, NO traffic compared to NYC, etc, etc.

Sometimes you have to live somewhere else to appreciate how nice this place is...

This place is no different then any other Suburbia. Either you learn to live with the changes or you move to Wyoming.
I am moving, in fact most of my friends and all of my family has already left the area.........I am waiting on that phone call for a JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I will be right behind them.

Thank You for caring as well. I have been in between Maryland and Texas my whole life and it's a lot different from what I remember growing up here.
Do as we are doing and move back to Texas. We are disappointed and think moving here could have been one of those life altering decisions that you wish you could take back.

I have heard that Texas is great. I am headed South and no not Florida...LOL. Best of luck to you and your family. A simplier life is alot less stressful and no one worries about who has the best SUV in the driveway.

where the hell are yall living? You must be in the wrong part of maryland if anyone cares what kind of SUV you're driving...

granted, the parents own a pretty honda pilot...one of the few hondas I like...but it is not for a status icon at all :lmao:

maybe you should like just into moving somewhere different in Maryland? Maryland has cities/suburbs just like every other state . I agree that it has definitely changed down here, but it still isn't quite to the point that some people are making it out to be...its not terrible. Times change

sounds like your issue isn't with the area but just with the hard-nosed soccer moms...you'll find those everywhere :lmao:

I hope that you either come around to liking it here or enjoy wherever you move :huggy:

Nahhh my issues are:

First with the prices of homes young people can't afford to live here, unless they have spend all of their parents' money on education and even then they may have to travel the beltway for a job in order to afford the prices.

Second the taxes.......................:shocking:

Third the amount of people moving in. If you like it here then great, fantastic and more power to you. For myself, I like it quiet and I remember years ago I could tell you the names of the people on my street......but not now!!!!!!!!

It's getting too busy around here for me. And thank you for the hug!........:buddies:
