Help needed: Windows 10 sees/doesn't see my scanner

Windows 10 64-bit system, Fujitsu iX1300 scanner. I've tried everything to get this thing to scan, but no dice.

I understand this is an issue with Windows 10 (or a feature), but so far, there is no joy in Mudville.

Fujitsu's website is the worst at trying to find any help, and FireFox just wants to sell me stuff.

Driver here: https://scansnap.fujitsu.com/global/dl/win-10-ix1300.html

The site says it is USB, but does not support Windows TWAIN, it requires a specific driver, which I assume is in the download listed above.

You might also go into "Device Manager" to see if it recognizes the hardware. Be sure it is on and you are using a good cable.

I have been using a Brother MultiFunction device for many years with great satisfaction. It prints, copies, scans and faxes, and it is laser toner, so no ridiculous ink jet carts. These things are incredibly cheap.

Same. Gave up on ink jets eons ago. A single toner cartridge lasts forever. But it's really getting on in age and doesn't support WiFi, been thinking of getting a WiFi to USB adapter so I don't have to drag the laptop into another room to print.

Mine has WiFi and it is quite a few years old. I think you can buy good units for under $200. Well, at least last time I checked before the inflation...
