Help with Photo Editing

I am looking to change some portrait prints to landscape and have just a generic photo editing program that will not allow me to do this. Can anyone give me some assistance as to where I might be able to have this done or how to do it myself. I need the photos by Christmas and have wasted a pack of the HP photo paper trying to get it right. :jameo::whack::stupid:

How many do you have to change?

There are just 3 photos that I need to change and willing to pay for them, I tried to contact CVS about the Kodak kiosk and they said you can only change them to 4 x 6 landscape if you have a border to put around the photos. Kind of wondering if I add a border, lets say make the image 5x7 w/ border then print it and cut out border, but I am still a novice at printing images and sizes. Guess this is what happens when you wait for the last minute on a very thoughtful gift.

what size do you want the pictures to be (4x6, 5x7, 8x10?), and do you only want one copy of each? How about the pixels? you know you won't be able to blow up a digital picture if it was taken with a 1.2 mb camera to a 8x10 without it distorting. If it is a large file, you can make it nearly poster size without distortion.

BTW, where do you live? I might be willing to print them out for you if you are local.

Thanks for the help, they are scanned in photos that I am trying to downsize or upsize depending on which photo it is. I would like to make them a 4x6. I talked with Ritz camera this evening and was planning on going to waldorf tomorrow they can resize them for me there in under a hour. I am going to give them a try and see what they can do. I do appreciate your help on the matter and will keep it in mind about the offering since I am in the southern Calvert area.
