This used to be required reading in HS Social Studies. Betting not at all any more. That's more than too bad. This is a spectacular book.

Originally published at the time of the Civil Rights Act, both Moynihan and Glazer were (at the time) far more liberal than conservative. But both eventually moved toward the right when they saw..., well no, read the book and you'll see why they eventually moved right/"rightish."
