California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Friday signed a bill decriminalizing jaywalking in instances where it is safe to do so, which proponents say will address racial profiling.

Not that I think jaywalking is a gateway to murder but this mentality contributes to our rising crime rates. If the libs want to lower crime rates as a vote getting point all they need to do is get rid of any law that is being ignored. It also helps greatly if you can throw a race slant on it. In this case, are more minorities being targeted for jaywalking charges or are more minorities jaywalking? Taking this out, are more minorities in prison because minorities are targeted or are minorities committing more crimes? With the exception of white guilt burdened libtards we know the answer but vote seekers will not call it out. Unless we stop this suck up to the perps and the everyone is a victim mentality we are doomed.

On a side note driving around in my insured, registered, safety inspected, legal vehicle that I pay good money to maintain I get pi$$ed when I see the hooptymobiles with broken lights, bungee corded hoods, cracked windshields, bald tires, expired/no plates, and other obvious infractions driving around. I would support immediate red tagging them and tow/impound then sold at auction with a salvage only title. And don't get me started on auto theft perps. Immediate death penallty by a mask and hose connected to the exhaust pipe of the vehicle they stole.

Note that the bill Newsom signed DOES NOT "decriminalize" jaywalking. Air quotes because jay walking isn't really a "crime". It's akin to a a moving violation in an automobiles which are punishable by fines.

But from another piece, "If signed, law enforcement will no longer be able to cite pedestrians for jaywalking when there is no oncoming traffic."

Ergo, not "decriminalized", just adjusted.

Well of course changing the Jaywalking law is just another form of sucking up to the blacks. It isn't surprising, the no bail walking out of jail is another. Just like naming 16th street Black Lives Matter street, and George Floyd circle in Chicago..

For example, black males commit more violent crimes at a fairly consistent rate and about 2-3 times more often than whites, proportionately. And once this observation is accepted - most of the inequality arguments disappear.

Perhaps a more prudent solution would be to try and figure out why it happens. This is why "equity" is a stupid way to solve problems - it makes more sense to find out why and STOP MAKING THE ASSUMPTION it can only happen because malicious people can think of nothing better to do than cause trouble.

See - I wish I had the inclination to tell the whole story, but suffice it to say one of the best nuggets of wisdom imparted to me from an old and sadly departed friend was - YOU are just not THAT important. In order for people to do SO MANY BAD THINGS TO YOU - you would have to be the most important thing in all the world to them.

People do not sit around and think of new ways to hurt you - what they do, is what everyone does. Nothing. They don't hate you - they don't care at all. You don't exist, and that's normal. You know that old saw that says "don't attribute to malice what is easily explained by stupidity"? I'd add something to that which is every bit as true - there aren't people out there plotting your ruin and thinking of new and more ways to make your life worse, because the truth is - and you know it - they DO NOT CARE. According to what they themselves post on Twitter and TikTok, that's not true. Democrats in fact sit around thinking up ways to hurt those they perceive as their political enemies and they do it right in public for the whole world to see.

Give me a number - any number. That's how many examples I can show you. If you say "One thousand" it may take a couple hours but that's how many examples I can produce. Don't say "one million" though because even though I could come up with that many examples I don't want to devote that much time.
