MALIBU, Calif. (AP) — A fast-moving wildfire destroyed more than a dozen homes and was spreading through the canyons and hills above Malibu on Saturday, forcing dozens of residents to flee ahead of the flames.

Television images showed homes nestled in the hills engulfed by flames. More than a dozen homes were destroyed but an exact number wasn't known, said Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Sam Padilla.

My pregnant daughter, her husband and their 2 year old son live on Port Mugu military base in Ventura County, CA. She had already called and told me about this. I swear it seems like things were just sowy getting cleaned up from the last time.

You'd think the recovery was over and everybody was happy watching the news.

They stuck with the Katrina story for years, but once the Santa Ana winds died, they stopped covering the fires. Thousands misplaced, a million people had to evacuate.

But Natalee Holloway's so much more important than the SoCal Inferno.

I guess it wasn't devastating enough or maybe it's because Arnold was efficient enough in his planning to not have another onslaught of deaths like they had with Katrina. As for Natalee Holloway - they are just tickled pink they finally re & re & re arrested the right people again!

As far as Katrina goes, the crybabies in N.O. blamed the Republicans(Bush), for sending them the storm. Meanwhile, in Ms. the good people cried for a while, then decided to take measures in their own hands and started to rebuild.
The people, along with the great Haley Barbour, decided to rebuild again and start anew instead of chastising the Fed. Gov. God help us if we ever have another Great Depression. The only good thing is it would cull out the lazy, victim mindset of a lot of Americans.

Success stories never make the LSM. Blame Bush fires on Bush. Blame Louisiana Corrupt Politicians on Bush. Blame Americans are hated overseas on Bush. Blame Freedom Fries on Bush. Blame Forestools lack of nookey on Bush.
