Wow, Samuels just took out two Cowboy defenders by himself allowing Brunell to convert that 3rd and two, and what a catch by Coles!

Well...

...let's see...

Dallas 7
Redskins 10
Refs 14

...with 5 minutes to go.

I have to questions for coach Gibbs;

1. What do you see in Brunnel? He is indecisive. He is late with the ball.

2. This game, never mind the refs, was lost at the end of the 3rd quarter.
You just scored, Dallas's D has been on the field FOREVER and are starting to fade. Your D makes them go 3 and out in 20 seconds so, naturally, we're gonna run the ball right? RIGHT???

I give Dallas credit, especially Vinny credit and Parcells.

...uhmm...uh...there is now 4 minutes left. WAY TO GO BRUNNEL!!!!
Gotta love the coaches personel decisions! (shameless homer)

...here WE GO!!!!!!!

Aaarrrrrrhhhhhhh..............

....I've said this before to: Why would anyone, ANYONE waste timeouts in the 3rd friggin quarter????????? Take the delay. Losing 5 yards then gonna hurt as much as watching the clock run later?????

I don't even wanna talk about the bad challenge. He has an EXPERT for this??????????????

Lotta coaching mistakes in this one boys and girls. Lots.

Well, last week 7 turnovers and STILL coulda won.

This week robbed of 14 points, offense screwed up all over the place and still could have won.

ARRRRGGGHGGGHGHGHGHGGHGHHHHHH..............

What does Gibbs see in Brunell???? Probably the same thing I saw last night, 325 yds 2td no interceptions (Consider the Coles drops) . Are you taking into consideration he was sacked five times, and was pressured the whole game?? What you call indecisive, I call being smart with the ball and not making a stupid mistake. I give Brunell and Rod Gardner credit for that last drive. Coming off an injury Brunell stepped up, and I hope Ramsey is learning from the bench, when he was in this position last week he threw an INT.

I agree about canning Brunnel -- I've been saying this all along... if it's not apparent to anyone yet -- Brunnel is just there for a paycheck. I don't think his heart is in it... More importantly, I think we also need some better receivers too. I say put Ramsey in or may Hasselback... let Brunnel sit out a week to observe a quarterback with heart. When Ramsey plays, there is a certain spark you see that motivates the other players... with Brunnel they always seem flat. :frown:

Eventhough I cant understand your reasoning I respect your opinion, but I would like to see some stats on Ramsey and have you compare them to Brunell. Seeming "flat" and seeing a "spark" means very little when Brunell throws TDs and Ramsey throws INT. I do think Ramsey is a good QB and will get better, eventually I hope he does start because he is our future, I just hope he plays a little smarter.

What you are seeng when Ramsey is in there is shear confusion and fear on his part and WTF on the rest of the offense's part. We know you have the "hots" for Ramsey but that doesn't make up for what he already has shown in his short career.

Had it not been for that bogus pass interference call early on the result of this game probably would have been very different. Give them a chance, remember when Gibbs came on the scene the first time he went 0-4, with any luck and a few calls going their way they would be 2-1 instead of 1-2.

If Ramsey can get more play time he can throw TDs in between his interceptions... the same way Brunnel is doing  I say we give the kid a shot and have him actually open a game, not get thrown in to clean up Brunnel's mess. :ohwell:

mizzle...

...please read my post in context.

When I wrote the first part Mark had just taken back to back sacks and was clearly hesitating.

I added praise moments later when he threw the first deep ball and the TD to Rod. Mark did NOT quit and, if had time, would have won that damn game.

That said, even though we didn't get the interference call in the end zone on Gardner, Brunnel wasted several one on one shots earlier in the game. You take those for several reasons; might catch it, might get an interference call and it WILL make the secondary hesitant on run support. At worst, a pick, it's a long punt.

Vinny took his shots from the get go and got away with the bad call on us and the great catch when Smoot underplayed that one a bit.

Brunnel has, to me, had endless trouble taking snaps, tripping, getting stepped on and NOT taking the deep shots. He frankly doesn't have the arm anymore and must really wind up which gives the secondary a chance. Three of the sacks were his fault. I don't see the veteran savy we'd all hoped for.

Again, the guy fought to the end and took some vicious hits. I respect him. I just want Ramsey in there. He's got to be in there to get better and he has more upside than Brunnel.

Yeah...

...one of the 'gimmes' lead him straight into Roy Williams, high ball on a crossing pattern. I still can't believe LC walked off the field.

That'll make your team mates trust you.
