Last Thursday, Bebe Mama and I were sitting out on the deck and the cows were being particularly pungent that evening. Daughter #2 was out there with us and complaining about the smell, so Bebe Mama tells her, "Breathe through your mouth - that way you won't smell it." I was like, "EWWWW! But then those cow poop molecules go in your mouth instead of your nose!"
This was met with scoffing from Bebe Mama and alarm from #2 - "Poop molecules in my mouth???" So I had to look it upon the internet to prove to Bebe Mama that, indeed, odor comes from molecules evaporating off of whatever you're smelling.
So here's the question: when you smell something bad, do you suck it up and breathe through your nose or do you breathe through your mouth so you won't smell it?
