Why does the Democrat Party continue to support their weakest links? Eric Swalwell, for example. He should have been forced into retirement years ago, and yet here he still is - openly stealing money from his district, sleeping with Chinese spies, tweeting completely asinine childish things on Twitter.

Sure, the voters in his district are a bunch of droolers, but the DNC has to see that he's bad for their brand. Anyone even a little bit outside the cult sees this guy for the corrupt retard he is, and yet the Party continues to protect and support him.

But then I look at how many prominent Democrats are ****ing retarded and openly corrupt, and now I'm thinking that IS their brand. But I feel like they should at least try to temper it for image purposes and not just let that freak flag fly high. On the other hand, Democrat voters don't seem to mind - in fact they embrace childish stupidity, corruption, and criminal behavior.

So maybe my question is: how did it come to pass that half this country is childish and retarded? There should only be like 10% of them, not 50%.

I grew up in a family of Truman-JFK Democrats, though we always voted for our Republican federal representative.
We are also gun owners and hunters.

Well for one thing, once they're in office, their Dem constituents know the name and will keep voting for him.
For another, they don't give a rat's ass - the press will cover for them, claim it's all GOP smear tactics or fake news.
And it works. Hunter Biden skated right past 2020 because the press and the DOJ all said "nothing to see here". There's no power quite like being able to commit a crime in the bright light of day and get away with it.

But you might ask - why not actually get someone who's really good? Ah - then you must see who is really in charge, and that's the party. Not the party leadership per se, but the party total. If THEY don't want a candidate - THEY will scuttle them. You're not going to GET a party maverick - the rest of the party will shut them down. They won't get the campaign money they need.

No, they don't care if they get scum so long as they get electable, LOYAL scum.
