Department of Community Services Announces Heritage Photo Scavenger Hunt

Celebrate Charles County's vast beauty, places of interest, and history by participating in a photo scavenger hunt. Stop by the Nanjemoy Community Center March 2-9 to pick up the list of scavenger hunt locations and the rules for the contest. Then head out and start snapping your photos. This is a great project for individuals or the entire family! Event is open to all ages. The registration deadline is March 9, and the deadline to submit your photos is April 14, 6:30pm.
You take the pictures based on our clues! Photos may be presented printed or on a photo CD. Submitted photos must be originals taken for this contest. To participate, complete the registration form and submit to any Community Center or the Department of Community Services no later than March 9. You can receive your clues by email. Just email us at webmail (at) charlescounty.org with "Scavenger Hunt Clues" in the subject line and we'll respond back with the set of clues.
Join us at the Center April 14, 6:30-7:30pm, to submit your photo entry, and enjoy free refreshments while staff review the entries. The person/family with the most correct or accurate photo submissions will win a prize. In the event of a tie, a winner will be chosen at random from eligible entries.
Event is supported by a grant from Charles County Arts Alliance, and Maryland State Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of Maryland & National Endowment for the Arts.
