"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

Even a stopped watch is right twice a day.

But I get annoyed with this quote because it's an obvious reference to Bush. The fact is we WERE attacked. The "pacifists" ARE unpatriotic and hoping for our enemies to win. And they ARE exposing our country to greater danger.

And all you have to do is read the nuts over at the DU, then apply some common sense to see it.

I'm unpatriotic, does that make me bad?

Hey Vrai, did you watch Hannity's America last Sunday night? Hannity had Mark Levin on as a guest and he absolutely laid the smack down on that extremely HOT (yet equally misguided) Jane Fleming from the Young Dems. It was :killingme

I'll try to post the audio link if I don't eff it up ;)

Only if you choose to enjoy the benefits of the people who are patriotic. Or, if you cause problems to those hundreds of millions of us who are patriotic. You can choose to be whatever you want, but your rights stop where they cause harm to others.

inspired by love for your country

...that seems to be the most common and accepted definition of the word, so, is it bad to not be inspired by love for your country?

If you have a bad country it would seem reasonable to not be inspired by love for something bad. Conversely, it would seem reasonable to be inspired by love of a good country.
