It was a good movie, but I thought the character, Gigi, was desperate and the character Janine was too annoying. But I do think there is a lot of truth to it for both men & women.
If you liked the movie, you should read the book - if you haven't already.

Gigi was so stereotypical
Over the top for movie purposes, but I've known a zillion Gigi's and even been one myself. And I've known a zillion Connors as well. Trying to make excuses why the object of their affection doesn't demonstrate that same level of interest in them. He's tired, she's afraid of committment, he's been hurt before and wary, she's just being cautious...And what it always boils down to is: he/she's just not that into you.
