You can kiss my azz, and unless you're in an emergency vehicle, you're just another jerk on the road.

This "jerk on the road" has to get to the emergency vehicle to save your azz now dont they!! Do you VOLUNTEER your time to help people when they are in need? I doubt that!

Then why the hell did she quote me? I didn't say it.

What I will say is this...when I can't get out of the way of an emergency vehicle, setting on that freakin' fog horn isn't going to change my situation.

Obviously you have a problem with getting out of the way of emergency vehicles or you wouldnt know that they blow their "fog horns" to warn you they are behind you and need to get by!! NOW we get the real picture here!!

What did you not understand about the fact that she CAN'T get out of the way?

I call bs, I've seen them driving down the street with no one in the way blowing their horns. Especially approaching intersections. I don't care, it's probably a good idea. I do know one woman who, in her panicky attempt to get out of the way of one sitting behind her at a busy intersection blowing his horn, pulled out into traffic and caused an accident. If I were her I'd probably sue.

...good chance they just got done doing something you don’t have the balls or the time to do, and they did it for free!

Let's see.... Boot Camp - 10 weeks.

Training after boots camp 8 weeks.

2 years at sea

5 months training at "A" school. My 12 week old daughter had to live with my parents while I made this commitment.

3 years at another duty station. 6 months of that on port/starboard watch (meaning 12 hrs. on duty, 12 hrs. off duty - for 6 months straight) and then onto three section duty for the other 2.5 years.

Another 2 years as an active reserve. Then another 2 years as an inactive reserve.

But, of course, I don't have the balls to volunteer at the local Fire Deparment or whatever. Yeah, ok.

I gave my time - 6 years of it - 24/7. So shut up.

a private owned vehicle is not an emergency vehicle, and the law gives them no special rights above any other non emergency vehicle on the road.

Now that being said, I move out of the way of emergency vehicles, but, just because some a-hole runs up on my bumper, flashing his lights, horn whatever, I do not get out of his way.

Maybe if other people that didnt have to be in a hurry didnt act like this also, there would be less chance of the real emergency people getting to where they need to be on time.

now, along with that one must remember that there are usally enough people in the station at any given time to react to an emergency, therefore I would assume that speed racer was only trying to act the part in his quest for speed.

odd, I posted this once but it didnt show.....

anyway, as I said earlier, if this girl asked me to bite her, I would have to take the risk of rabies as I quickly bit and nibbled all over her before she had a chance to sober up and retract her offer.

Haven't you watched James Bond movies? The ones where they place the gauze pad over their face with a sedative? You would have a better chance...

Oh no! She just had to stay with them while I did my "A" school for 5 months. No dependents allowed. She came to live with me again after I left there and got stationed at good ol' Pax River. (My parents live in Northern VA). It sucked her being away for 5 months, but she's 12 now and no more warped than any other 12 year old, I've noticed. :lmao:

I wasnt pointing that at everyone, just the one that made the comment about firemen being out of control rednecks. You have done your part, and I thank you for that, but you are not the person I was aiming at.

The point I was TRYING to make is towards the people who sit home and do nothing, but yet feel its there "right" to judge others, including military.

Again, thank you for what you have done, the fact is I dont have the balls to do what you have done, so....
