Better go potty at the library before they turn off the water again...
Due to a major water leak on System B, water will be temporarily turned off to facilitate repairs. This outage will include a major portion of the base. All buildings extending from the old rifle range area, now building 2117 GSE engine test, along Cedar Point Road to the Chapel building 428. It also includes all Conrad and Lovell housing areas, hangars 305, 306, 109, 101, 110, 111, 301, buildings 2199, 1490, 2168, 103, 2185, 516, 104, 459, 409, 458, 1403, 467, 468, 469, all 1400 series barracks, 1586, and 3104. This outage will also affect the Supply area and West Patuxent Basin area. Fire hydrants on the domestic water will also be affected. This is a partial list to provide general areas affected.
The plan is to secure water pressure for 2.5 hours to install valving. All buildings in the affected area except 468 will return to normal pressure after approximately 2.5 hours. Building 468 will remain off until broken piping can be replaced.
