Hey Kitty friends check this out!

I wouldn't want a soaking mess sitting at the botton of the litter box. It's much easier to scoop the urine out IMO.

Hi! I'm new here (got an account so I could post in the animal services section), but I saw this post and thought I could chime in with my experiences...

I had 2 cats at the time, and one of them has a long list of health problems, including chronic sinus infections. He drinks a lot of water, and he's been tested extensively for kidney problems and diabetes and everything's fine... the only thing we've been able to figure out is that he knows that the more water he drinks, the easier it is for him to breathe because the sinus infection isn't as thick.

Of course, he has to process all of that water, and our other boy won't go in a litter box after another cat has used it. So we have a TON of boxes. I thought this would be great, since the urine would be soaked up and the water loving cat could keep using it, and the picky cat would have a regular clay box to use.

And that's how it went, for awhile (cause water cat didn't know where the clay box was). And when he found the clay box, he only used it for solids, which was still okay. But after about 2 months, the plastic of the Breeze box started to REEK of urine. I couldn't get the smell out, no matter how I washed it. So, of course, no one would use it. We're back to 5 boxes for (now) 3 cats. And scooping 2x a day.

I have some unused pads if someone nearby wants them.

I'll take them off your hands since I just ordered one of these. Geez, I hope they fixed the pee pee smell problem! :twitch:

Shoot me a PM and tell me where I can pick them up.

Thanks! :huggy:

We picked up one of these this past weekend. They've been using Yesterday's News in their litterbox for years so the transition was easy They were using it by the end of the first day. We're hoping they use it for peeing. The Yesterday's News is good for covering the odor and absorbing it, but cleaning out the liquid waste is pretty much impossible. Hopefully we won't have the smell issue.
