We have it at work. It must have come in on a nursery plant and it has been coming back for three years. Weird stuff and it grows FAST.desertrat said:http://coopext.colostate.edu/4DMG/Weed/dodder.htm
Do we have this?
Your coworkers haven't been pooping in the flower beds again have they? Its wide host range and the long life of its dormant seeds make dodder hard to control and nearly impossible to eradicate. Dodder seed can be spread by irrigation water, in the manure of livestock that have eaten infested alfalfa, or along with the seed of crops that were infested with dodder.
That is a distinct possibility.desertrat said:Your coworkers haven't been pooping in the flower beds again have they?

I know that most of my co-workers probably eat ONLY alfalfa.
