Go get him. He's gorgeous and needs a home. You can be his playmate :lmao:

Seriously, you have been wanting one and he sounds perfect.

Honestly he would be nice to you if you were on the same side of the fence as he is..He hates the "through the fence thing"

No not anymore...he has the taste of blood and I can not keep him in....I am not going to tolerate it...he tore the ear of a goat OFF this week and killed one of my cats..I am livid just typing this...I dont like animals that don't get along..Neutering will NOT help him toward animals...he is good though with dogs. I only give him a coupld more days then I will turn him in as a dangerous dog...I also hate he will not stay in the house without his howling etc to get out...even with the girls in the house..

:neener: your right Sheperd..almost wanted to type an A again...

Let's say you don't even have any feelings for this dog...you have had him for some time, correct? You have made money off of his puppies, correct? He's been used as a stud and really not as a loving pet. Sad. You owe it to the dog to have him humanely euthanized rather than be turned into the shelter and have somebody else do it after he experiences the "shelter trauma." Or be adopted, behave poorly and face abuse.

The biggest problem I have is the trips to the hospital...I can not leave now with him getting out..I have had people over 3 times to help me fix the fence..we fix one area and he finds another...not sure how he does it..If he goes to the shelter it will not be for adoption but for a "mean" dog that will immediatly be euthanized..

I gave him a good life for many years..honestly I like the dog..just had it with him now and again cant go to the hospital until he is gone..

When I got him he was a SKINNY 65 lbs and now a fat 85 lbs he was HW pos also ever other worm known to man..he is now HW neg and fat..but he was raised in a kennel outside for so many years you cant fix that..shame..I wish he could be inside..

If there is a home out there for a "junk yard dog" he would love that..other then that you are right..he will be put down

Just like when Happy had to shoot her male Rottie...he went after her she said it is something that rotties "get" not sure of what it is but he did not recognize her one day and hubby had to shoot him...she did the right thing..he is huge...so is my boy and I do live on a farm with other animals..

Catt I wish he could have been a loving pet I thought I could turn him around but years in the kennel being teased behind bars made him like he is..

BTW I DO AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAID..I DO.....I have tried to place him this week...everyone wants to TRY HIM as a house dog with kids..WTF about outside aggressive dog do they not understand?? I do NOT intend to have him be adopted by the shelter if he goes there as I said it will just be an owner surrender to be euthanized...

again I cant even leave to the hospital until something is done with him...I can not let others be responsible for his actions..and almost everyone is terrified of him...

They why don't YOU take him to the vet, stay with him..comfort him..and let him go. You owe him that.

Yeah if I get a sitter for mom then I would still have to pay someone to come dig a hole etc...I think the vets would be a problem because I can NOT walk him on a leash..he drags me he cant even go to the rabies clinic he is too strong. I have to take him in the horse trailer and the vet comes out and I just pull his hind leg out the door for her....and I would have to muzzle him not much comfort there..I was also told it was alot cheaper to just ask the shelter to do it and dispose..vets are so so high now on that stuff...and money is tighter now work is slacked for the winter and I had to give up Bills SS checks...

I dont think you understand the size and strength of this dog..and a dog that was several years old when I got him..a dog that can drag me anywhere he wants....I am not strong enough for him with the arthritis I have in my hands..

There are plenty of vets that will come to your house to euthanize him. Why did you breed him if his temperment wasn't good?

He is good with people...just not when they are on the other side of a fence..never bit anyone...and just started the thing towards animals when he started getting out of the yard and running...never bothered horses or llamas before when he got out if the gait was left open etc...just when we got the goats...and I will be placing them too...

I am sure he was a good dog before he was put into the situation I got him from..he was in a small kennel and teased

Cowgirl honestly you could come over...go in his fence and he would be great...its the behind the fence he does not like...even in the house you could be with him and when workers go in the yard with them he waggs his tail and follows you...He is not a people mean dog..and all pups out of him have wonderful dispositions

The point is, it's not the shelter's responsibility to put him down. Just call a vet to come out to the house.
