So I heard the WH press secretary today talking about banning high capacity clips. Sounds like a great plan to me, but I'm not sure how much good it will do. What are they going to do, limit your M-1 Garand to five rounds?
Sorry, I got mixed up in the terminology.
Yes there are "magazines" which hold more than 10 rounds, both for pistols and for rifles, and they are legal to own in Maryland, not necessarily purchase.
You can own magazines that have a capacity over 20 in MD. They just can't be bought or sold here. I bought a new AR15 about 6 months ago and it came with 20 rounders because of the state law. Better get them now if you want them.
That was kind of my point. If the WH is talking about taking away my rights, they better be damned sure to use correct terminology. Slang is fine for casual conversation, but when the WH press secretary says clips, he damn sure better not mean magazines.
This is just as dumb as the large soda ban.
As if 2 10-round mags are somwhow different than 1 20-round mag. Considering it only takes a few seconds to do a mag change.
