History of White Sands

We just moved down to Calvert County into the White Sands neighborhood. I was hoping someone could give me some information on what used to be out here. This afternoon while cleaning out the neighbors backyard we found brick foundation footers buried under the brush. We were able to find the middle and one side corner of a large structure. Hopefully someone can help us out... What was out here??

The old zombie grounds. That "research chemical" leak only created a few dozen, but they think they are all gone now. Nobody has seen one in months.
