State Police Hit and Run pedestrian collision in Cecil County, MD

(Elkton, MD) On March 8, 2019 just prior to 7:00 AM, troopers from the North East Barrack were dispatched to the 200 block of Fletchwood Road, in Elkton in reference to a pedestrian involved collision. On scene troopers made contact with a 31 year old female victim being assessed by Cecil County Emergency Services paramedics.

The victim advised troopers she was walking eastbound on Fletchwood Road on the narrow shoulder on her way to work, when she was struck from the rear. The only striking vehicle description provided described it as black pick-up truck or SUV. Troopers located a mirror as evidence on the scene, and a part number identified it as from a Toyota truck or SUV. The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware for non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or was in the area around the time of the collision who may have saw a vehicle matching the description is asked to contact the Maryland State Police North East Barrack at 410-996-7800, in reference to case #19-MSP-009913.
