Hobbies and Personal Interests-Cooking

So, what are your favorite recipe's for using your Kitchen Aid mixer? I need some idea's. Hubby says I don't use it often enough.

I use it almost exclusively for baking, i'd be interested to see some recipes for actual cooking myself ...you know, without the expensive attachements

Did you manage to keep the recipe book that came with your machine?

I have mine, so would be very willing to share it with you....to get some ideas.

But in a quick run-down of ideas/recipes that are in the little cookbook, they include:

garen quiche
Mexican meatloaf
mashed potatoes
sweet potato pugg
herbed whipped squash
nutty cheese ball
fiesta cheesecake appetizer
various cakes
various frostings/icings
cookies/brownies/candy/pastries/pies
and of course, any bread recipe imaginable




I use mine probably two or three times a week, depending on what I'm serving. Most often I use it for cookies, cakes, etc. But I did just use it to mix up some brownies.

Guess I'm old fashioned. Don't have a fancy Kitchen Aid, but then I have every other kitchen gadget. :shrug: And most of my recipes, I can do with sharp knives, a hand mixer, etc. Go figure. :shrug:
