FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - An enraged hockey dad is charged with assaulting his own son after a game at a Frederick ice rink.
City police say Martin Agrella, 48, of Germantown became upset with his 17-year-old son during a game at Skate Frederick on Sunday night.
Agrella began arguing with the boy and followed him into the locker room, where he allegedly punched his son several times. He's accused of kicking the teen after he fell to the ground and curled up in a fetal position, police say.
The boy's sister took him to the hospital, where he was treated for back pain and spasms.
Agrella was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and child abuse.
