Hogan Doesn't Want My Money

Well actually, he doesn't want your money that you gave to me to give to him. So maybe those complaining that haven't got your tax refund yet - this is the reason, they don't have the money yet because they don't know how to take in order to give.

Sales tax collected in July is due Aug. 15th. I log on to the Maryland sales tax website this morning to file my report and schedule my payment for next week and I'm told that I can't do that yet. System upgrades taking place due to legislative changes. But the legislature wrapped up in April so they have had more than 3 months to get these changes in place.

And according to the message, they can't even take my payments scheduled last month in a timely fashion! Gotta love government agencies inefficiencies.

And because of their ineptness and my efficiency - part of Maryland's 'rona relief was retail businesses got to keep a portion of sales tax remittances for a couple of months(yeah I didn't agree with this - why not just suspend sales tax for everyone for those months, rather than you pay the sales tax to me and then I get to keep it?). I paid my sales tax on time the first month they were still working the details out. As a result, I had to file for a refund. That was in June that I filed for the refund - still haven't seen that money yet. Dealing with Maryland State government when it comes to employment or business related matters is a cluster duck! I think I would rather have my manhood chopped off and become a woman.

Hogan still doesn't want your money - incompetency in state government - nothing new. Sales taxes collected in July are due today. I just logged on to the state tax payment website and get the same message as last week - due to system upgrades, I can not file and pay my sales taxes. How difficult is it to update a website to take someone's money? Maybe they should hire some African scammers - they will figure it out real quick!
