Hogan told a Fib .

Only if he claimed to be shot down like Brian Williams, had to duck from enemy fire like Hillary Clinton, or claimed to be in a war-zone when he wasn't like Bill O'Reilly.

Hogan makes false claim about drop in Fortune 500 companies

If he was Brian Williams he would be fired by now .

Amazing how they left out the crucial years of 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.. Cherry Pick data to suit your argument.

Just ONE of the articles from the Sun that supports the gist of Hogan's statements.

Of course this doesn't even take Beretta into account..

A corporation lost to another state, is a loss no matter which way you look at it. Northrop would have been HUGE for MD.

The Sun?

The Sun has done nothing but push "the sky is falling" rhetoric regarding Hogan and his decisions.

Here's an idea, if O'Malley hadn't driven this state into the ground during his term, there would be no need for cuts, or even talks of cuts. Then again, if he hadn't screwed up so bad, Brown would probably be governor right now.

I think we can close this thread. One of those democraps failing to point out any truth to their claims.

This article is from Oct 2014. Seems the voters saw things differently.

You know the popular phrase: "I won" :lmao:

LOL , the point of the thread(way over your head) was to show that the right thinks it's ok for the Governor to lie but not for a reporter to make a error in notes from a story years ago while trying to pay homage to a soldier who was retiring .:patriot:

An error?

No, Brian Williams was one episode away from claiming Bill Cosby raped him too.

Good lord...can you read?

The Sun article list in the initial post compared the number of Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies headquartered in MD in 2006 to the number of 500 and 1000 companies headquartered in MD in 2014...that DOES included 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 (it also includes 2007, 2008 and 2009).

There were only five Maryland companies on the Fortune 500 list in 2006, the last year of the Republican administration of Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. Eight years later there are four. The only way to get close to 13 as the starting number is to use the Fortune 1000 list. Maryland had 12 companies on that list in 2006 – the same number as in 2014.

The article you posted doesn't have a damn thing to do with companies leaving the state...Constellation was ACQUIRED (meaning they were purchased)...Alex Brown and Sons was also acquired (in 1999 BTW)...USF&G was purchased in 1998...Maryland National Bank was purchased by Nations Bank in 1993. So not one of the companies mentioned in the article you quoted left the state of MD. Each were acquired. Only Constellation's purchase happened during Mr. O'Malley's administration.

Baretta isn't mentioned because it isn't a Fortune 500 or Fortune 1000 company. Baretta isn't even a US firm...it is Italian.

One it's not Baretta.. I'm not doing the crime so I don't have to do the time.. it's Beretta.. #109 of the fortune 500 when it left MD

Williams made an ‘error’? He admitted he lied. And he held that lie for years, went around continuing to propagate it. It wasn’t until he got called out on it that he had to come clean. And he is gone because of it.

But let’s just try this… “If you like your plan, you can keep it”. We now know this isn’t true. Did Obama lie when he said that? Or was he just misinformed or had his facts wrong?
