North Beach Person: You ain't old! I see your sig line. I can remember when Calvert County only had ONE traffic light (originally at NRL-CBD and then later at the intersection of MD 260 & MD 261 and it HAD ONLY ONE COLOR! flashing red) And before the light went to that intersection there was a seasonal Chesapeake Beach cop that directed traffic during the summer weekend rushes. The single color traffic light was still at NRL-CBD when I worked there but was eventually changed to a 3-position light for traffic control for the base FD.

But then again I can remember a very large beach out in front of the houses on Atlantic Avenue from 7th Street all the way down past Uncle Billy's Pier and oft times extending about 1/2 block up towards the swamp where the Navy Theodolite tower was at the end of the seawall there and the seawall was made of wood!

Oh! And I might now be "old" by the numbers but even after 7 decades I use NO "mobility aids", have ALL of my parts and take NO medications and can STILL run the younger folks into the ground without breaking a sweat. My parents raised me to take care of myself, get exercise and eat well. Something that today's generation(s) have failed miserably to do. Can still jog 5 miles reliably.
