Holy Buyouts

Seven months pay and benefits to resign and stay home.
No. This is a deferred resignation. It will allow those that take it to continue to work from home until the end of the fiscal year or their actual stopping their government job. They will continue to receive their checks as in. There is no big buyout.

Maybe there WILL be enough desks at Pax for everyone left. We only need a few thousand to take the offer.
I seriously doubt this affect anyone at Pax. This is really only for those who are working primarily at home. So no net increases in desks. And it doesn't apply to the military or those with national security positions.

Also says they may be placed on paid admin leave for the duration.

Yep.

I’ve been going in a few days a pay period. All persons I’ve talked to who are non bargaining unit (not represented by the union, aka management level) are mulling their options. One or two are actually considering MOVING closer. Another is a young mom and wants to try part- time. A handful say they’ll consider early retirement even though they’re nowhere near their retirement goals.

Most like me will just suck it in and go. If it was an ACTUAL buyout - you know where they offer a huge chunk of change - I could consider it, but mostly myself and the majority I spoke with are going to hang in there.

I'm waiting for the 2 year severance package Musk was talking about this past November
