Gay men and heterosexual women have similar brains, study suggests - Telegraph
Scientists have found similarities in the brains of gay men and heterosexual women - possible physical evidence that sexual preferences are caused by nature rather than nurture. Swedish researchers noticed that both groups tended to have symmetrical brains while in lesbians and straight men the right-hand hemisphere was likely to be larger.
They also measured blood flow to the amygdala - the area said to be central to the so-called "fight-or-flight" response - highlighting how it was "wired" similarly in gay men and straight women on one hand and lesbians and heterosexual men on the other.
